Veganic garden, food forests, sustainable farming

Bob,
I have already commented on Alan Savory's work:
I suggest that we let the wild animals thrive and live free again without us killing them and destroying their environment, and let them graze the lands again. A vegan world where we stop killing all wild animals, let the forests grow back again, let the wild animals graze the lands, and let the humans only eat plants.

If we care about what is "good for the animals", we can't take their precious life. Their purpose is not to become our "food". He is trying to "mimic nature". No, lets restore nature again. Let all animals be free again, instead of being our slaves.
I highly recommend this article: http://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/what-are-the-roots-of-freedom-and-slavery/ , the book World Peace Diet by Will Tuttle (http://www.worldpeacediet.org/)
Longer comment here: http://bloganders.blogspot.no/2013/04/why-allan-savory-environmental-approach.html

There are many thriving veganic gardens, food forests, etc. I believe in small scale planting without monocroping and without any big fossile fuel driven machines killing many animals in the process.

Deforestation of tropical rainforests, more than 2/3 of Ethiopia’s topsoil has been lost due to raising cattle

1. Which areas are you referring to?

And what has caused these areas to become "NOT suitable for farming food crops of any kind."
Many areas have had this tragic fate:
"Our demand to eat animals is responsible for 30-51% of all anthropogenic ghg emissions and climate change, 80% of the deforestation of tropical rainforests, 100% of the overgrazing, 100% of the fisheries collapse, 100% of the food insecurity issues (with factors we can control), and at least 50% of the rapid extinction of terrestrial and oceanic species. This is what needs to be said."

And then we have the issue of the topsoil being destroyed due to raising cattle, which is very important for a diverse and rich plant life:
More than 2/3 of Ethiopia’s topsoil has been lost due to raising cattle. Many countries elsewhere in Africa and in the Amazonian region that suffer from hunger raise cattle inefficiently at the expense of their soil, localized climate, and other resources while producing a fraction of the food they could if converting to plant based foods. This is because of their  very powerful cultural factors to raise cattle as well as demand globally and by neighboring countries.

3. Have you even studied the research referred to in http://www.adelicatebalance.com.au/ ?

Save the animals, save the planet, go vegan.
