Connection between our violence towards nonhuman animals, and the violence in human relations:
Domestication of animals and each non-vegan choice is violence, it is slavery, and it also has resulted in human slavery, oppression against women, and other forms of oppression that is rampant in our society. I would also like to share these words about nonviolence:
"A commitment to nonviolence begins with not putting violence in and on your body. Go vegan." -- Gary L. Francione
If you are not vegan, please consider going vegan. It’s a matter of nonviolence. Being vegan is your statement that you reject violence to other sentient beings, to yourself, and to the environment, on which all sentient beings depend.”
― Gary L. Francione
"The most violent weapon on earth is the table fork." Gandhi
“I do feel that spiritual progress does demand at some stage that we should cease to kill our fellow creatures for the satisfaction of our bodily wants.”
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.""
“Being vegan is easy. Are there social pressures that encourage you to continue to eat, wear, and use animal products? Of course there are. But in a patriarchal, racist, homophobic, and ableist society, there are social pressures to participate and engage in sexism, racism, homophobia, and ableism. At some point, you have to decide who you are and what matters morally to you. And once you decide that you regard victimizing vulnerable nonhumans is not morally acceptable, it is easy to go and stay vegan”

Vegan reply: What about consuming eggs from rescued hens/ "pet hens"?
What about consuming eggs from rescued hens?
By consuming animal foods and owning animals one is perpetuating the property status of animals, which enables all the animal abuse today of the domesticated animals. As long as any individual, humans or nonhumans, is property under the law there will be no real protection.
“Anticruelty laws assume that animals are the property of humans, and it is in this context that the supposed balance of human and animal interests occurs. But as we saw, we cannot really balance the interests of property owners against their property because property cannot have interests that are protectable against the property owner. The humane treatment principle, as applied through animal welfare laws, does nothing more than require that the owners of animal property accord that level of care, and no more, that is necessary to the particular purpose.” Quote: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/faqs/#.Uf4r9G37bBA
You can learn more here: http://law.bepress.com/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1021&context=rutgersnewarklwps
“Although these activities do not contribute directly to demand for animal products, they are deeply problematic as a symbolic matter. They reinforce the idea that animal products are things to consume; they reinforce the idea that animals are things, are human resources; they reinforce the social practice of consuming animals; they reinforce demand even if they don’t contribute directly to it.”

All domestication of animals is inherently wrong: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/animal-rights-and-domesticated-nonhumans/Thus, if you agree with the proposition that it is immoral to inflict animals any unnecessary suffering and death, please note that based on the above reasoning, you have to stop consuming all animal foods, stop using animals as a resource, and go vegan.

Moral truths and ethics about the consumption of animal foods and other animal exploitation
Start with this article: http://www.eatlikeyoucarebook.com/
My reply to a person
You have from the outset taken the position that you will believe that morality is subjective until the opposite can be scientifically be proven, which per definition of the limitations of the scientific paradigm is impossible.
Then you use your position “conveniently” to exploit and harm other animals for trivial ‘palate pleasure’, and to be indifferent of their unnecessary suffering and death. If you care the slightest of nonhuman animals, then the case for veganism is crystal clear, as explained earlier. And as long as you permit people exploiting animals for the “pleasure”/convenience of food, and participate in this yourself, you are a part of the animal abuse (and also guilty of the most horrendous parts of the abuse, which you enable by endorsing the property status of animals), instead of a part of the solution.
For some clarity I recommend: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/clarifying-the-meaning-of-a-right/#.Ua0CHpxc18E
It is an objective fact that the property status and domestication of animals is causing them horrendous amounts of suffering, e.g. enabling the industrialized animal abuse depicted in this video: http://www.earthlings.com/
Without the domestication that started 10000 years ago, and that is perpetuated by each non-vegan choice, 58 billion land animals wouldn’t yearly be exploited, many of them living a life of constant torture.
Your position also harms other people, since the animal industry is causing lots of environmental damage, poverty, starvation, etc.: http://www.drmcdougall.com/video/expert_testimonies_oppenlander.htm
Furthermore, the enslavement of animals, the domestication, also has resulted in human slavery, oppression against women, and other forms of oppression that is rampant in our society. It is covered in this book that I want to read: http://cup.columbia.edu/book/978-0-231-15188-7/animal-oppression-and-human-violence#.UZAIageHrdk.facebook
Regardless of what you believe about moral truths, all that it takes to become a vegan is love and compassion, caring more about the animals, their interests of not suffering and interest of continued existence, than frivolous ‘taste experience’/convenience/social peer pressure.
Naturally any vegan who cares about animal and human rights, and who is understanding that one is complicit in the exploitation if one is not educating people participating in animal exploitation, and who is understanding how efficient education is in order to change people's mindsets and actions, will try to educate you about their views. You will regard it as "imposing beliefs", and the vegan will regard it as their moral obligation. You should consider that your temporary frustration is nothing compared to the suffering of the victims (the animals) that we are trying to protect and defend.
I think this will be my last reply. Thanks for the discussion!

This is a reply to:
" I just wanna know what's gonna happen to cows, sheep and chikens after we stopped eating and using their products.?"
This is a good respone to your question:
“But… What would happen to all of those animals if we did not eat them? This is an easy one: If we stop consuming animal foods, we would stop bringing domesticated animals into existence. Period. What would we do with the animals we have here now? (..) It is not an option to just release these animals into the wild. The cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc. that we see today are not wild animals. They were domesticated by us to be “food” animals.”

Is love, compassion and nonviolence in alighment with Torah/Judaism-beliefs about humans and animals?
A friend wrote me: “Please
reconsider your position, not following Torah, it is illogical. The people in
Judaism are just that people. However we/ you can't make a difference on the
outside of Judaism. The road your taking is hurting people.”
"Milk was destined to to feed the animals offspring and not that man should take it with force for himself. The kid has the right to enjoy it's mother's milk and it's mother's love, but hard-hearted man, influenced by his materialistic and shallow outlook, changes and perverts these true functions. Thus the gentile kid is unable to partake of it's mother's love and rejoice in the splendor of life." ~Rabbi Abraham Kook, chief rabbi of Israel.
Here are my thoughts. I
only want to help, so I hope you take it in a positive way. I write this only
out of caring. Please take your time to contemplate over what I write.
Some quotes I like:
"It should not be
believed that all beings exist for the sake of the existence of man. On the
contrary, all the other beings too have been intended for their own sake and
not for the sake of anything else." ~Maimonides
"Milk was destined to to feed the animals offspring and not that man should take it with force for himself. "Samson Raphael
Hirsch stated: "Here you are faced with God's teaching, which obliges you
not only to refrain from inflicting unnecessary pain on any animal, but to help
and, when you can, to lessen the pain whenever you see an animal suffering,
even through no fault of yours.""
You wrote: “The road your

I don’t believe that doing
my best to live a life of love, compassion and nonviolence to humans and all
other sentient beings is hurting people. In fact I do believe that if we are
hurting other sentient beings, this shows that we are already hurt. I believe
that veganism is a message of healing to ourselves, and healing to all human
and nonhuman animals. I do my best to make this world into a better place –
a vegan world without poverty, starvation, wars, slavery, discrimination,
injustice, violence and hatred, which all are so dominant and rampant in our
society. I don’t believe in enslaving, inflicting unnecessary
suffering and death upon innocent and precious animals, who all value life as
much as we do, destroying their families and friend relationships, stealing
their purpose and life, just for “taste”, habit, convenience or tradition.
We know that it is morally
wrong to inflict unnecessary suffering and death upon animals: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/what-michael-vick-taught-us/ .
Research shows that animal products are bad for human health. I don’t believe a Loving and Compassionate Creator would recommend a diet which causes cancers, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.: http://www.adelicatebalance.com.au/ ; http://www.drmcdougall.com/medical_ailments.html ; and inflicts unnecessary suffering and harm upon animals, that all want to live and not to be killed, hurt, exploited and enslaved by us. Our culture only hurts and kills animals despite the complete lack of necessity. When we eat animal products we are contradicting the very principle we truly believe in, about not inflicting animals suffering and death despite the lack of necessity.

The arguments I
presented above are one of several reasons why I don’t follow the Torah.
“However we/ you can't

What sort of difference
are you referring to? I know that a lifestyle of veganism and nonviolence that
are opposed to all injustices, discrimination and violence, instills love,
compassion and nonviolence in people both towards humans and other animals.
What are your thoughts
about all this?
Take care!!

Claims of "health benefits" of drinking probiotic milk or eating fish does not justify exploitation of animals
You
wrote” That being said, I'm not sure if humans consuming a little
animal products is blatantly immoral if it is what our bodies are
conditioned to do, and in some instances, like eating fish and probiotic
dairy, can benefit our bodies in ways that are difficult to
synthesize.”
Even if there was any health benefit of consuming animal products this wouldn’t justify us to breed animals into slavery, to use them, to exploit them, to hurt them and to kill them, just in order to get the health benefits. Just as any potential health benefit of drinking human milk for human adults, wouldn’t justify us to exploit a human mother. To get cow milk you have to impregnate a cow without her approval, to breed a baby into an existence of slavery and to coerce the cow into milking. This is what is done in the cow milk industry. Most humans understand that doing the exact same thing to a human woman is unethical. Most people don’t understand that doing this to a woman of the species ‘cow’ is unethical. Our culture justifies the exploitation of a cow because of being vastly influenced by the erroneous and immoral ideology of speciecism – discrimination based on species.
Domestication of animals is violence, it is slavery, and it has also resulted in human slavery, oppression against women, and other forms of oppression that is rampant in our society. Breeding an animal into captivity is morally wrong. Everyone understands this is the case with humans; however because of the vast influence of speciecism most people don’t understand it is wrong to breed an animal into captivity and to a life being controlled by a human. More of why domestication is wrong can be found here: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/animal-rights-and-domesticated-nonhumans/#.UZvJ45xYV8E
“Speciesism and human slavery are similar in that in all cases animals and enslaved humans have a basic interest in not being treated as things and yet are treated as things on the basis of morally irrelevant criteria. To deny animals this basic right simply because they are animals is like saying that we should not abolish race-based slavery because of the perceived inferiority of the slaves’ race. The argument used to support slavery and the argument used to support animal exploitation are structurally similar: we exclude beings with interests from the moral community because there is some supposed difference between ‘them’ and ‘us’ that has nothing to do with the inclusion of these beings in the moral community. The animal rights position maintains that if we believe that animals have moral significance, the principle of equal consideration requires that we stop treating them as things.” – Gary Francione [ https://www.facebook.com/abolitionistapproach ]
As for the health benefits, I don’t believe in it. Fish is unhealthy: http://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2003nl/030200pufishisnothealthfood.htm ; dairy is also unhealthy: http://drmcdougall.com/misc/2007nl/mar/dairy.htm

Further comments about speciecism:
Do you see the words on the truck -- "Livestock Auction"?
When else, in human history, did we auction off sentient beings? Oh yeah. When we had chattel slavery. And the only difference is species which is not an acceptable criteria to justify treating others as commodities, to justify exploiting and killing others.

Problems of placing a dog at an animal shelter
The problem is that we have been indoctrinated by our culture to treat many animals in a way that reflects that they don't have any moral value (which is wrong), and that we have the right to enslave, domesticate, hurt, use, exploit, kill and eat animals (and steal their produce) for trivial and completely unnecessary reasons, such as “taste”, habit, pleasure, convenience or tradition [It is a myth that we need animal products for our health, in fact they are bad for our health: http://www.adelicatebalance.com.au/ ]. We have reduced beings who are eternal consciousness just like us, into commodities, who can be abandoned into “animal shelters” and mistreated in other ways.
We all agree on that it is morally wrong to inflict unnecessary suffering upon sentient beings, yet we (our culture) daily inflicts unnecessary suffering and death routinely upon animals, for food, clothing, in pet industry, zoos, etc.: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/what-michael-vick-taught-us/
Apart from the animals sadness felt by the abandoment, and many other problems, putting animals animals in an animal shelter do result in animals getting killed (either at the animal shelter, or people having dogs killing their dogs while waiting to get a place in an all-full no-kill animal shelter).
We need to extend our love and compassion to everyone. Everyone wants to live and to live in freedom. If we hurt another being, we hurt ourselves. In order to kill someone, we have to violate this individual's love and wants, we have to crush hopes, destroy a family and friend relationships; We have to sacrifice part of our inner love and compassion; we have to say to ourselves that 'I don't care' in order to take someone's purpose and life. And this has destroyed us, destroyed our society. The reason why people inflict violence and suffering upon others is the lack of empathy and love to others. If we instead would reinforce love and empathy at each meal by living a vegan lifestyle, instead of destroying parts of our love and empathy at each meal by hurting and killing someone for 'convenience' or taste, we would surely attain world peace. As long as we sow violence and wars by our eating choices, our society and culture will be absorbed in violence and wars.
We should stop hurting our family. We should treat everyone with love, compassion and nonviolence, i.e. go vegan . More information at www.vegankit.com and the fantastic and transformative book World Peace Diet by Will Tuttle (http://www.worldpeacediet.org/)
Furthermore, all animals want to be free individuals, they don’t want to be controlled, no animals want to live in confinement. Can’t we respect this? We should end all breeding and all domestication, and let all animals be born into a life of freedom in the nature, where they can live a natural life without being controlled and limited by us. I recommend this article:

Honey bees, domestication and slavery
Domestication is wrong. Animal slavery is morally wrong. Stealing from animals is morally wrong. The honey industry includes both animal slavery and stealing from animals. We are certainly hurting them by taking of what they work so much with to produce.
Some quotes I agree with:
“Speciesism and human slavery are similar in that in all cases animals and enslaved humans have a basic interest in not being treated as things and yet are treated as things on the basis of morally irrelevant criteria. "The central position of my rights theory is that we have no justification for treating animals as our property just as we had no justification for treating other humans as slaves. We have abolished human chattel slavery in most parts of the world; similarly, we should abolish animal slavery."

Vegan- Domestication of 'pets' and other animals is wrong
Hello Alfred,
“Domestic animals are neither a real or full part of our world or of the nonhuman world. They exist forever in a netherworld of vulnerability, dependent on us for everything and at risk of harm from an environment that they do not really understand. We have bred them to be compliant and servile, or to have characteristics that are actually harmful to them but are pleasing to us. We may make them happy in one sense, but the relationship can never be “natural” or “normal.” They do not belong stuck in our world irrespective of how well we treat them.”
http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/pets-the-inherent-problems-of-domestication/#.UVa_ClcWngM
All domestication is wrong. However, it is a good deed to save, adopt and foster an animal, from an animal shelter. We need to take care of them, since they are bred and raised in a way that they can’t survive in the wild.
Animals all deserve to live in freedom. Their purpose is not to be used by us. Their purpose is not to end up on our plate. Using animals,e.g. animal foods, disconnect us from our natural compassion and wisdom, and sense of being part of a benevolent universe.
I recommend this lecture: http://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/what-are-the-roots-of-freedom-and-slavery/
Both domestication and eating animal products are two deeds that are hurting and using another sentient being, which is not ethical.
