What a beautiful night.
There is such a delight.
Merry friends dancing around.
Singing, clapping, what a beautiful sound...
Silence inside, a peaceful abide.
a harmonious melody, an awesome symphony.
Spontaneity, freedom, expressing the Perfect oneness.
existence dancing with Herself.
Come dance along to this perfect song.
Leave your facades, your pressures, your stress and sorrows...
all is okay.
Just relax.
Take a step. Take another step.
Just be here in this dance, here in this freedom, here in this Now.
See how the worries fade away, when you lose your self
Moment after moment.
movement after movement.
In this spontaneous dance.
Take a chance and let's dance.
Freedom and peace. Is Here and Now
just embrace her and invite her to dance
Under the wonderous sky, with the moon and the stars dancing along.
Dance, lose yourself in the dance, uniting with the stars, the moon,
All people, and other apparent objects.
Dance until you realise that you been dancing with yourself, with existence, all along.
Dance and your problems will fade away.
Embrace this moment and dance.

Unconditional love, love without conditions, a love that liberates
Love this quote about true LOVE ♥:
"THE FLOWERING OF LOVE
When you see a flower in the garden, and in the presence of that flower you feel good and alive, you call the flower 'beautiful', and you cut the flower out of the ground, and you place the flower in a vase on your windowsill. You say to the flower, "You are mine and mine alone, beautiful flower; you make me happy and whole; do not leave me and do not change or I will be broken…", and you have the audacity to call this 'love'.
Wrenched from its natural ground, divided from Source, the flower is 'yours' for a while, yes, you can tell yourself that, but soon it withers and dies, starved of life and possibility. Deep down, you know that the flower could never be 'yours', so anxiety and sadness rumble underneath the entire project from the start. This is not unconditional love, friends, this is possession; fear masquerading as love. This is the attempted annihilation of beauty in the name of security, and it is what we are taught and sold, and it is why your human relationships are fraught with such drama, unspoken expectations and deep sorrow.
Wake up to a deeper kind of love, friends, a love without conditions, a love that liberates, a love that never says "you are mine", a love that would never wrench a flower from its beloved ground, a love that won't possess or control but sees the beauty in another's ungraspability, and loves their freedom despite the pain. A love that doesn't come from without but is the nature of the within, the inevitable consequence of knowing how free you truly are.
Love the flower, see the beauty and the fragility of the flower, yes, be infinitely kind to the flower, but never forget, it cannot be yours and it cannot complete you. It belongs to the universe.
Love the entire universe through the flower, and let go of promises. We only make promises because we do not trust ourselves. There is only Now, and that is the ground of love, and its fertiliser.
– Jeff Foster"

There is no spirituality/love in harming and killing an animal for food
For those that claim that you can take the life of an animal in a
spiritual way/kill an animal with love. And for those that claim that
uprooting a plant is equivalent to taking the life of an animal.
Plants are not sentient: http://www.cup.columbia.edu/static/marder-francione-debate
There is a moral difference between uprooting a vegetable compared to stabbing a dog. Everyone knows this.
And in any instance you reduce the number of plants that you "kill" by eating a vegan diet, instead of consuming a sentient cow with an interest of living that consumes 10x more plants than you do.
Secondly there is NO love or spirituality in killing an animal with an interest of living and forcefully separating him/her from his/her family.
See also attached image.
Just like there is no love or spirituality in killing a human.

Vegan reply to 'Morality is a matter of opinion'
“Morality
is a matter of opinion”
I recommend this article about moral realism: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/new-atheism-and-animal-ethics-some-reflections/
If we follow our moral intuition, and reason clearly about our moral obligations based on this, it leads us to fight against all violence and discrimination, including speciecism: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/human-and-nonhuman-rights-as-inextricably-intertwined-in-a-nutshell/#.UdrhcG1RfO4
And thus if we embrace our moral intuition that it is morally wrong to inflict animals unnecessary suffering and death, we will embrace veganism and go vegan. You will find further reading about this here: http://www.facebook.com/abolitionistapproach
You are
claiming that morals are subjective, just like some may prefer tomatoes over
cucumber.
Basically
you are saying that:
“It isn’t morally wrong to murder. Rape isn’t morally wrong. Animal abuse isn’t morally wrong. Racism isn’t morally wrong. Nazism isn’t morally wrong. Sexism isn’t morally wrong. Heterosexism isn’t morally wrong. Other kinds of abuse, violence and discrimination aren’t morally wrong.”
You are saying that some prefer to murder other people and some prefer not to murder other people, but this preference is as relevant as is whether someone prefers tomatoes over cucumber.
You are saying that some prefer to be violent and discriminate based on irrelevant criteria, and some people prefer to show love, empathy, nonviolence and compassion; but you are saying that this fundamental difference is just a matter of opinion, e.g. some people prefer bananas over apples, or football over hockey.

I think
this notion is completely mistaken and inherently immoral.
Basically, since you say that all of these issues are just a matter of opinion, you are also encouraging that it is okay to stand silent when people are being oppressed by people who adhere to sexism, racism, nazism, heterosexism, etcetera. Standing silent is being complicit with moral transgressions, discrimination and violence.
Our moral intuition says that it is morally wrong to cause other individuals unnecessary suffering and death – both humans and nonhumans. I strongly believe we should follow our moral intuition which leads to more love, compassion, empathy and nonviolence, instead of the theoretical construct and opinion that “moral is a matter of opinion” which only leads to more suffering, harm, violence and apathy in this world.

Muslims/Islam, vegetarian/vegan, peace, love, compassion, mercy ?
Muslims claim Islam is about Peace, love, compassion and mercy, also in our treatment of animals.
I would like everyone who think peace and compassion is important, and still chooses to consume animal foods to consider this:
We all claim to care about animals and to regard them as having at least some moral value. We all claim to agree that it’s wrong to inflict “unnecessary” suffering and death on animals and--whatever disagreement we may have about when animal use is necessary—we all agree that the suffering and death of animals cannot be justified by human pleasure, amusement, or convenience. We condemn Michael Vick for dog fighting precisely because we feel strongly that any pleasure that Vick got from this activity could not possibly justify what he did.
So how can we justify the fact that we kill many billions of land animals and fish every year for food? However “humanely” we treat and kill these animals, the amount of animal suffering we cause is staggering. Yet no one maintains that animal foods are necessary for optimal health. Indeed, mounting empirical evidence points to animal foods being detrimental for human health. But however you evaluate that evidence, there can be no serious doubt that we can have excellent health with a vegan diet. There is also broad consensus that animal agriculture is an ecological disaster. Animal agriculture is responsible for water pollution, air pollution, deforestation, soil erosion, inefficient use of plant protein and water, and all sorts of other environmental harms.
The best justification we have for the unimaginable amount of suffering and death that we impose on animals is that they taste good. We enjoy the taste of animal foods. But how is this any different from Michal Vick claiming that his dog fighting operation was justifiable because he enjoyed watching dogs fight? Vick liked sitting around a pit watching animals fight. We enjoy sitting around the summer barbecue pit roasting the corpses of animals who have had lives and deaths that are as bad, if not worse than, Vick’s dogs. What is the difference between Michael Vick and those of us who eat animal foods?
This book shows that there is no difference, or at least not any difference that matters morally.
Quote from a book that I recommend alot: http://www.eatlikeyoucarebook.com/
And it is very clear that animals do have an interest to live and not to be raised, killed and used by us humans for food: http://bloganders.blogspot.no/2013/07/why-painlessly-killing-animal-for-food.html
So how can you claim that love, peace, compassion and mercy can be combined with killing a sentient being despite the lack of any necessity at all, with an interest to live, who don't want to be slaughtered, exploited and killed by humans?

Does vegans love or hate people consuming meat, diary and other animal products?
Some person claimed that we shouldn't feel sad if a person exploiting animals on a regularly basis die. All non-vegans are exploiting animals on a regularly basis for palatable pleasure/convenience.
Despite that I for a long time have tried to live a moral life, it took me almost 28 years to realize that it is wrong to kill animals for food, and that veganism is a necessity for an ethical lifestyle. If I would have encountered arguments like this, I think I would have become a vegan much quicker: http://articles.philly.com/2009-08-14/news/24986151_1_atlanta-falcons-quarterback-vick-illegal-dog-dog-fights
I think that the death of a sentient being always is sad, including the death of humans. I think that we can love someone despite the violence that that person is causing to others, and causing to himself or herself. I would e.g. mourn if someone died of my non-vegan family or friends. I don’t think it attracts our non-vegan friends to claim we shouldn't feel sad if they would die. I really hope it isn’t true that we wouldn’t be sad.
For me veganism has led me to feel more love and empathy to animals, including humans, on this planet. Of course I am deeply saddened by the exploitation my non-vegan friends are inflicting upon the animals, and their inability to demonstrate love and empathy toward the animals that they choose to exploit for animal products, but I can still love them.

Meaning of life, to treat all humans and animals with love, compassion and nonviolence
To live a life of love, compassion and nonviolence to everyone.
To live after the principle ' “all breathing, existing, living, sentient creatures should not be slain, nor treated with violence, nor abused, nor tormented, nor driven away.” '
To fight against all discrimination and violence against all beings on this planet, all humans and all other animals:
"We do not object to speciesism in a vacuum. We reject it because it is like other forms of discrimination. What all forms of discrimination share in common is the use of an irrelevant criterion to exclude people from full membership in the moral community. Racists devalue those of different races based solely on skin color; sexists devalue women solely because of sex and gender; heterosexists deny full membership in the moral community to gays, lesbians, transgenders, etc. simply on the basis of sexual orientation. Speciesists deny full membership in the moral community based solely on species.
All of these forms of discrimination are morally unjustifiable. We reject speciesism because it is indistinguishable from these other forms of discrimination."
Quote: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/some-thoughts-on-the-abolitionist-approach/#.UbT_v5z_FLM"
Fighting against all violence, and spreading love and compassion, includes to stop inflicting unnecessary suffering and death upon all sentient beings, including nonhuman animals:

If you love animals, stop killing them and go vegan
For anyone who think that animals have a moral value, and that it is wrong to inflict unnecessary suffering and death upon animals:
Loving/caring/regarding someone having a moral value and inflicting unnecessary suffering and death upon animals for food is an oxymoron.
If you kill individuals that you love, you really need to rethink your concept of love.
There is no moral difference in killing an animal for fun, compared to killing an animal in order to derive pleasure from the taste of it.
We have no need at all for any animal products whatsoever, thus when someone is consuming them, this is done out of the lack of ‘necessity’. And I am sure you agree with the moral proposition that is unethical to hurt and kill animals despite the lack of necessity. Thus your acting according to the moral belief that you believe in.
If you are consuming animal products you are participating in exploiting and killing them. This is not ethical.
The reason why there is animal abuse at all is because of us regarding animals as property, which will remain as long as people insist to inflict unnecessary suffering and death upon animals for palatable pleasures or convenience. It is well known that animal products are unhealthy, and that a vegan diet is healthy: http://www.adelicatebalance.com.au/
And as long as you permit this and participate in this, you are apart of the animal abuse (and also guilty of the most horrendous parts of the abuse, which you enable by endorsing the property status of animals), instead of a part of the solution.
For some clarity I recommend: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/clarifying-the-meaning-of-a-right/#.Ua0CHpxc18E

A vegan healthy diet, the best for children
My reply to person:
Kristen, Hello, I would like to comment on what you wrote.
It is not selfish to feed a child a vegan diet. A vegan diet is a diet of love and compassion and nonviolence. Children love animals and don’t want them to die and suffer. We should respect the lives of the animals, respect the purpose of the animals, and stop harming other sentient beings. They also have a moral value and a right to live, and we need to respect their rights and their lives. We need to teach children and everyone else to respect and love everyone. For further reading I recommend http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/a-note-about-michael-vick/ and www.vegankit.com
A vegan starch-based organic diet without GMO’s costs much less than a diet of animal products, both money-wise, and also for the animals and for our planets. One can learn more here: http://www.drmcdougall.com
An animal product-based diet is heavily subsidized, yet it is more expensive than a home cooked vegan diet with the bulk of potatoes, lentils, and other starches.
One can survive and thrive on a vegan diet – and it is much more healthy than an animal product-based diet both for us and certainly for the other animals who don’t get killed and abused because of someone's eating habits - of only potatoes and possibly an additional B12-supplement.

Why does many people abuse humans, dogs, cats and other animals?
Why are many persons cruel to human and other non-human animals?
I often try to think that what made a person become so destroyed that he/she feels it is justified to inflict so much violence against another sentient being; and lacks the capacity to feel empathy and love when it comes to the suffering of another individual.
I also think that if this person would have been taught love and compassion from childhood, instead of violence and apathy towards other individuals suffering that this person would have been completely different.
If we hurt another being, we hurt ourselves. In order to kill someone, we have to violate this individual's love and wants, we have to crush hopes, destroy a family and friend relationships; We have to sacrifice part of our inner love and compassion; we have to say to ourselves that 'I don't care' in order to take someone's purpose and life. And this has destroyed us, destroyed our society. The reason why people inflict violence and suffering upon others is the lack of empathy and love to others. If we instead would reinforce love and empathy at each meal by living a vegan lifestyle, instead of destroying parts of our love and empathy at each meal by hurting and killing someone for 'convenience' or taste, we would surely attain world peace. As long as we sow violence and wars by our eating choices, our society and culture will be absorbed in violence and wars.
So the problem is that our society destroys a person so much. The society inflicts violence upon a person, it teaches a person to practise violence, and the person loses more of his/her innate love and compassion. We will never reverse this destructive force and a persons lack of empathy, by feeling and practising violence and hate --- in our actions, speech and thoughts. If we feel violence in our heart, it will also effect our actions, and it will make us less efficient in our vegan advoacy. To show compassion, love and nonviolence in active vegan education of those we meet is the only thing that can make a people experience a revolution of their heart and go vegan.
That another one has abused an animal, doesn't justify a violent revenge action.
So when a person is hating and destryoing for other individuals, I don't feel hate. I feel a deep sorrow for the individual that has been hurt, and I also feel sorry for the individual that has been destroyed by the choices that our society to a large extent has enforced upon that individual. Of course we are all responsible for our choices.... But I know that the person would have been totally different if we had lived in a completely vegan society with no discrimination at all - not against humans and not against nonhuman animals.
We have all been destroyed to a large extent, and more than 99% of the population still is regularly making non-vegan choices, hurting and killing animals on a regular basis. Our non-vegan friends are condemning dog abusers, but are abusing animals themselves: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/a-note-about-michael-vick/

Brain scans show vegans display more empathy than omnivores
Brain Scans Show Vegetarians and Vegans Are More Empathic than Omnivores
They appear to have more of an empathetic response to suffering
Published on July 12, 2012 by Marc Bekoff, Ph.D. in Animal Emotions
Every now and again we discover that some of our beliefs are supported by scientific research. Recent research using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) shows that "vegetarians and vegans appear to have more of an empathetic response to both human and animal suffering ... FMRI brain scans showed that the areas of the brain associated with empathy
(such as the anterior cingulate cortex and the left inferior frontal
gyrus in this study) were more activated in vegetarians and vegans
compared to omnivores when all three groups were shown pictures of human
or animal suffering. Written questionnaires on empathy, in both this
and other studies, seem to confirm higher empathy levels in vegetarians
and vegans (Preyo and Arkiwawa, 2008; Filippi et al 2010)." (I could not
find the reference to Preyo and Arkiwawa, 2008 but the entire essay by
Filippi et al., 2010 is here.)
I've been thinking about this general topic and relationship for a long time and I agree with the conclusion of the essay
in which these results are reported, namely that "Most animal advocates
also care deeply about a broad spectrum of social justice and
humanitarian causes." I've always believed that "compassion begets compassion" and easily crosses species lines. I welcome more research in this area from both social scientists and neuroscientists

Vegan peace and love for world peace between humans and all other animals
Cats, dogs, rabbits, cows, fish, koalas, wolves, bears, humans. Our
society wants to make a difference and then justify our use, abuse and
killing for taste, pleasure or convenience, based on this difference.
However,
we are all one, we are all consciousness, we all love, we all feel, we
are. If we sow suffering, we reap suffering. We all have a purpose, to
serve, to be a light, not to hurt or use (all animal products and the
treatment of animals as commodities are hurting animals).
We
need to extend our love and compassion to everyone. Everyone wants to
live. If we hurt another being, we hurt ourselves. In order to kill
someone, we have to violate this individual's love and wants, we have to
crush hopes, destroy a family and friend relationships; We have to
sacrifice part of our inner love and compassion; we have to say to
ourselves that 'I don't care' in order to take someone's purpose and
life. And this has destroyed us, destroyed our society. The reason why
people inflict violence and suffering upon others is the lack of empathy
and love to others. If we instead would reinforce love and empathy at
each meal by living a vegan lifestyle, instead of destroying parts of
our love and empathy at each meal by hurting and killing someone for
'convenience' or taste, we would surely attain world peace. As long as
we sow violence and wars by our eating choices, our society and culture
will be absorbed in violence and wars. By stealing the purpose of
nonhuman and human animals, we lose our own purpose. By hurting others,
we hurt ourselves.
We
should stop hurting our family. We should treat everyone with love,
compassion and nonviolence, i.e. go vegan (i.e. stop using, exploiting,
enslaving, hurting, killing and eating animals).
We
already do believe in this, we already to believe it is unethical to
inflict unnecessary suffering and death upon other animals [More

It
is a very transformative book. I became vegan this autumn and this book
has helped me alot. Also the website www.vegankit.com contains many
good resources. A good vegan health documentary showing the benefits of
vegan health, and how detrimental animal products are for our health:

Being vegan is very easy, hurting and enslaving animals is hard and unjust
Farid,
I am glad you agree about that it is the right thing to do! :) Becoming vegan for me last autumn was an easy choice once I understood that I have no rights at all to exploit animals, including paying someone to kill them, steal their products, and domesticate/enslave them.
Being vegan is incredibly easy. It is very easy to always choose to be loving and compassionate in every decision that we make. It is our true nature. Our society wants to fool us that it is hard, but it is not true. It is hard to continue to live a lifestyle that exploits others. It harms others, and it harms ourselves. It is easy to become vegan, to treat all beings with love, compassion and nonviolence, to find our true purpose, to come home.
Not being vegan for almost 28 years has been hard. I enslaved animals and became slave to our cultural indoctrination. Finally becoming vegan I feel so free, so happy, so peaceful. It is just wonderful.
Study, fully comprehend who the animals are, and what our choices are causing them. To act in a loving, compassionate and nonviolent, to do what is the morally right thing to do and to REFUSE to participate in exploitation, destroying families, stealing individuals purposes, hurting, killing and stealing, is SO much stronger than cultural indoctrination, physical addiction to animal foods, peer pressure and any other "reason" of not being vegan.
Please go vegan, for everyone that is consciousness.

Be vegan. Eating animals does not "honor the sacrifice". Animals didn't want to be part of a 'sacrifice'/meal.
Jarryd Tschoerner,
You wrote: ”If we honor the sacrifice the animal has given us, it is acceptable .. The problem is that humans eat animals out of greed instead of need. But if you and your mother need the food, I think you can keep them and eat with a clean conscience.”
We don’t enslave, trap, hunt, hurt, kill and eat animals out of need. Everyone has the possibility to eat a plant-based diet without taking the life of any conscious individual. Humans do eat meat and other animal produce for “pleasure”, taste, habit, convenience and/or tradition. We have no nutritional need for animal products, and they hurt our health, see e.g. : www.adelicatebalance.com.au and the China Study ( http://www.thechinastudy.com/ ). This article shows very welll how we all now that it is morally wrong to inflict unnecessary suffering upon animals: http://www.abolitionistapproach.com/a-note-about-michael-vick/
I don’t mean what it means to “honor the sacrifice”. Because the animals certainly did not want to be killed, they all value their own lives as we value our lives much as we do; and they all value their friend- and family relationships. Killing animal is stealing the purpose of an individual that is consciousness just like we are. Killing and eating a human does in no way honor that person, and in no way would that individual agree with us consuming him/her. The same is true for lobsters. Our culture has reduced animal to commodities, and we have been victims to cultural indoctrination since we were born, and learnt to exclude animals from our circle of love and compassion at our meals. However, this doesn’t change the reality of who the lobster is, consciousness just like us, and just like the dogs, cats, cows, sheep and all the other animals. So we can’t eat anyone with a clear consciousness; in order to eat an individual we need to repress parts of our love, and empathy, we need to ignore another beings feelings, thoughts, dreams and hopes; we need to steal an individual’s purpose – an individual which had a purpose, which wasn’t to become “dinner”. Humans create myths in order to justify our abuse and killing of animals for foods
Speeking of Ancient Greece:
Pytaghoras of Ancient Greece said:
“As long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seeds of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love.”
"I won't allow any kind of fallacy when discussing subjects being serious."
Why do you think that the research that I refererred to is erroneous. Have you studied it?

"Pytaghoras
was not the only Greek out there you know? There is a lot more Greek
Thinkers and Philosophers out there."
I know Ancient Greece was also heavily influenced by the domestication-slavery-culture. So you will probably quite easily find thinkers from that time, or from any time of our 8000-10000 years old domestication-culture (where there are written records), which both praises eating animal products, justifies it and even do erroneous "scientific studies" which claim to "prove" that animal products are good for you.
"Joseph Campbell, when asked the reason for myths by Bill Moyer, said
that the main reason for myths and stories is to somehow reconcile our
abuse and killing of animals for food. We create enormous rituals with
religious significance because I think we feel guilty about confining
animals. The worst thing you can do to a being is put them in prison;
putting someone in jail is a punishment. These cows are owned. Their
sovereignty is stolen from them by human beings so they can have their
milk. They are not allowed to live their lives freely in nature and we
would all like to be able to live our lives freely. I think there is no
need, personally, for ghee to be healthy. Certainly there are many
cultures that survive without having ghee. In the fullness of time,
hopefully this will be seen to be something we can let go of. I would
like to see cows returning to sovereignty again, how they lived for
millions of years."

How to transition to veganism if you have children who likes milk and meat
Yes, indeed, dairy is very bad for human health. This is true for all animal products: http://www.forksoverknives.com/
Children
wouldn’t want to eat milk products or any other animal products, if
they knew how much slavery, suffering and death it caused to animals.
See e.g. these movies: http://www.vegankit.com/why
Children
much more easily understand the importance of living a vegan lifestyle.
When we grow up, we continue to lose parts of our innate love and
empathy, by sacrificing it at our meals and what is required in order to
make these meals.
We
need to extend our love and compassion to everyone. Everyone wants to

will be absorbed in violence and wars. How can we ever hope for peace as
long as we inflict this violence and suffering?
Domestication
of animals is a violence, it is slavery, and it also has resulted in
human slavery, oppression against women, and other forms of oppression
that is rampant in our society. Learn more in this book: http://cup.columbia.edu/book/978-0-231-15188-7/animal-oppression-and-human-violence#.UZAIageHrdk.facebook
As
for replacements: There are many, for drinking, e.g. almond milk and
rice milk. For cooking, coconut milk is very, very tasty. Dr. Neal
Barnard refers to research which says that our taste buds is renewed
within some weeks when we change diet. But even if there was no
replacements, there still would be no justification of inflicting
suffering and death to our precious sentient and feeling non-human
brothers and sisters.
Hope
this helps and motivates you to transition to the lifestyle of
non-discriminatory love, compassion and nonviolence to everyone who is
consciousness!! :)

Ahimsa, nonviolence and compassison to all animals
Presenting
a logical argument, and arguing for that our love, compassion and
nonviolence must extend to all living beings is not being “passive
aggressive”.
Standing for Ahimsa (non-violence and compassion to all living beings) requires us standing up against injustices and violence against other sentient beings, regardless if they happen to be humans, fish, cats, dogs or of any other species. Standing silent only perpetuates the status quo of injustices, violence and slavery perpetuated on a massive scale against innocent sentient beings; and makes the bystander guilty for not standing up and defending the defenseless and oppressed.
Only a spiritual awakening to the so simple fact that all beings are consciousness (fish, dogs, cats, humans and all other beings) and that all equally has the same right to live as humans, and that all should be treated with love, compassion and nonviolence, will transform our violent culture that is so filled of injustices, oppression, slavery and suffering.

Loving an animal and to kill an animal - an oxymoron
I
think in order to accomplish world peace we must stop using violence
both towards other humans and towards other animals. If we sow violence,
we reap violence. If we sow love and compassion, we reap love and
compassion.
We should treat others as we want to be treated ourselves
All animals are conscious and they do value life as much as we do. If we love the, we must respect them, respect their relationsships with their family and respect their relationsships with the friends.
We love each other in this forum - I hope. We don't kill each other. Loving and killing are two oxymorons. In order to take someone else's life you need to sacrifice part of your innate love and empathy. This takes place everytime we put another animal on our plate for trivial reasons such as "taste", convenience or habit.
There are no humane ways of killing a human. There are no humane ways of killing another animal.
If we don't want to be killed, we shouldn't kill other animals (regardless of species - humans, dogs, cats, cows, chicken, etc.).
If we don't want someone else to steal our family, we shouldn't steal their family.
If we want to find our purpose in this world, we shouldn't steal others purpose.
If we don't want to be exploited and abused, we shouldn't abuse anyone else.
If we don't want to become enslaved, we shouldn't keep anyone else as a slave.
If we don't want to hurt any animals, we must become vegans (i.e. stop eating, wearing and using animal products, and in other ways do actions that are hurting and killing animals).
If we love animals, we don't kill animals. We don't kill and eat anyone that we love. If we love animals, we must support their want to not be oppressed, including not to be killed.
I recommend this lecture: http://vimeo.com/17538152
All kind of animal products, including eggs and milk, are causing humans and other animals terrible suffering, oppression, starvation and death. Being vegan is the only way not to participate in the oppression.
If you claim to 'love' animals but you eat animal products, you need to think critically about how you understand love.
