Raw milk vs a starch-based vegan diet, health benefits?

If you want are willing to study I recommend you to read this debate, which includes people who once in their lifetime thought raw milk was good for the human body: http://www.drmcdougall.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27604
Milk is very nutrient dense for baby calves. Just because that it contains nutrients doesn't mean that the human body is able to absorb all these nutrients, and that it isn't detrimental for human health.

A vegan starch-based diet prevents stiffness in the joints, see e.g.: http://www.drmcdougall.com/stars/star06_jean-brown.html
and doesn't harm any animals, as is done in the dairy industry, and which the milk consumer pays for.

Vegan diet cures fibromyalgia, type-2-diabetes, heart issues

My reply to Sarah:
Fibromyalgia, heart issues and diabetes are all caused by a diet of animal foods:
You can learn more here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDopSo4BBds and http://www.drmcdougall.com/
Dozens of people with fibromyalgia have successfully been treated by eating a vegan starch-based vegan diet with fruits and vegetables, and without animal foods. Here is one: http://www.drmcdougall.com/stars/star13_cheryl_lambert.html
Type-2-diabetes is also cured with the same diet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iosoXlr3ZVI

Not only you benefit, but it is also the ethical thing to do, not to harm and kill animals without any necessity for it, and not for palate pleasure/convenience:

A vegan starchbased diet diet lowers blood pressure

By consuming animal foods you have a great risk of getting many diseases including cardiovascular diseases: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNeWCvLZaFM

Some of his writings:
“Blood pressure rises naturally in response when your blood vessel system becomes "plugged up," medically referred to as "an increase in peripheral resistance to blood flow." The pressure rises in order to deliver oxygen and nutrients to the tissues – this is the correct response for the body to take. The pharmaceutical industry's answer is to inhibit the natural mechanisms of the body, causing the pressure to fall. Unfortunately, this artificially reduced pressure does nothing to lower the risk for a heart attack and very little to reduce the chances of a stroke. Why? Because nothing helpful has been accomplished by the medication to improve the health of the blood vessels – the arteries remain fragile and ready to burst into a stroke or heart attack. Attacking the problem at the root cause – the rich Western diet – cleans up and strengthens the blood vessels, reduces the resistance to blood flow, and then the blood pressure falls naturally. In less than 2 weeks after a change to the McDougall Program, an average reduction of 23/14 mmHg can be experienced by people who begin with high blood pressure – 150/90 mmHg or greater – and blood pressure medications are stopped in most cases.

“The rise in blood pressure is a response to a sick body—the blood pressure goes up as a natural and proper adaptation—as an attempt to compensate for a plugged up cardiovascular system. After years of consuming the rich Western diet, the blood vessels develop blockages referred to as atherosclerosis, the artery walls stiffen, and the blood itself becomes viscous. All this change creates a resistance to flow, resulting in a decrease in the ability to deliver nutrients to the tissues. The body responds, as it should, with a rise in blood pressure.”

“The correct action for the patient to take is to decrease the resistance to flow by eating a healthy diet and exercising. Most people who follow the McDougall diet find their blood pressure decreases within a few days. Based on several collections of results from my clinic, the average reduction of blood pressure is about 14/11 mmHg in seven days, and at the same time medications used for treating hypertension are usually stopped. My customary protocol is to stop all blood pressure-lowering medications the first day of the Program, except for beta-blockers, which I slowly discontinue by cutting the dosage in half every two to three days. Unfortunately, not every patient experiences the reduction in numbers they desire. Despite their best efforts some people may need medications.”

IgE mediated allergies and dairy vs. a vegan diet?

Here is a post relating to IgE mediated allergies written by Jeff Novick, RD:

"However, in regard to the situation you described above, you do not have to go through the process of doing a full elimination diet (or allergy testing) as your main concern is one food, which we already know is highly reactive and implicated in this situation. As you may know, there are many health professionals, myself included, that beleive dairy is the single worst food humans could be consuming and the one food we would all eliminate from the food supply if we could.

A full elimination diet does take time and effort because it is a slow process. However, in regard to eczema, there is enough evidence to just encourage any parent to just begin by eliminating dairy.

If your nutritionist or immunologist doesn't now that dairy is bad for your health, I think you shouldn't trust their competence.
Please do your research instead of relying on people who lack knowledge.
There are many nutritionist that know dairy is bad for your health. Some claim that it is good. Obviously, many of the nutritionists are very wrong.

Dairy is foods for cows and its composition is good for calves when they are growing up. It has never been an ideal food for humans, and it is detrimental for human health. I have shared plenty of resources to you, and if you are interested of your health, and to stop exploiting animals, you should be willing to study this. Please do.

Historical diet: Mayan, Aztecs and other populations ate a starchbased diet, not a 'paleo diet'

DR. JOHN MCDOUGALL: Yes. The diet that I recommend is the diet that most people that have ever walked this earth have consumed. It's the diet of all successful populations throughout all of recordable history. There are no exceptions. And unfortunately science or historians or the general population has a hard time recalling history. If they did for a moment they'd figure out what the human diet really is. In recordable history - I'm talking about times where we really have adequate information about how people ate, and that dates back to 13,000 years ago, maybe 24,000 years ago. We really have good records from camp sites and writings and all kinds of things as to what people ate. And if you just stop for a minute you realize that people are starch eaters. All successful populations of people have lived on starch. For example, the Mayans and the Aztecs. They were known as ‘People of the Corn'. So was the American Indian, native American. They lived on corn and squash and beans. That was their diet. As a matter of fact there's a new dollar out called the "Three Sisters" which represents those crops. If you think about Asians for at least 5,000 years their primary calorie intake has been rice. But it's been other things. It's been sojourn and buckwheat and sweet potatoes, but rice is classically the diet of most Asian populations. In the Middle East, five, eight, 10,000 years ago it was millet and wheat. If you look at South America and you look at the people of the Andes. They live on potatoes, still do today, potato based diets. And there are populations that lived on sweet potatoes like those in New Guinea and those in the Caribbean. So wherever you look the primary source of calories for human beings has been starch and when they've consumed those calories, they've had no type 1 or type 2 diabetes. They've had no multiple sclerosis, heart disease as far as we know. Well we have examples of these people living on starch based diets up until recently, and in fact there are a few isolated populations that haven't been touched by the American diet and we can still see that they don't have type 2 diabetes. They don't have coronary artery disease. They don't have multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.

http://www.drmcdougall.com/video/starch_solution.html

Dr. McDougall explains why the human diet is based on starches (rice, potatoes, ...See More
