This is the problem, where does the "Torah" define the calendar, the written Torah doesn't (though it gives us some guidelines). The calendar is defined by the Oral Torah.
You seem to miss the point that in addition to transmitted teachings the Sages also have authority to institute new practices. On what basis do you call this "adding", Daniel prayed three times a day toward Yerushalayim, are you saying he "added" to the Torah?

" Fact is that Rabbis changed the definition of the new moon, etc. You can find it if you study the links I provided. However, I no longer believe that the holidays of Torah are inspired by the Creator. Studying research I found that they have influences from other religions, and that they later on where reinterpreted to have a historical basis in the Israelites claimed history.
