You can get all the plants you need to live and thrive on a vegan diet in mosts part of the world (not in the very cold areas). But even if you couldn't, so what???
It doesn't address the ethical argument.

Eating meat is not ethical, because that you can live and thrive and get all nutrition on a vegan diet.
Thus, the only justification for consuming meat, instead of a vegan diet, is pleasure/convenience, and this is not a legitimate reason for hurting and killing an animal.
