Celebrating Shabat – great that you desire to do that!
If we want to follow the Creator we must live according to His teachings. If we want His support than according to the Jewish Bible and the teachings of the Mashiakh [“Messiah”] we must strive to do His will.
What did Ribi Yehoshua – ha-Mashiakh – from Nazareth teach about following the Creator?
We can learn this by studying messianic prophecies. One of them is Yeshayahu [”Isaiah”] 9:5-6. In Hebrew, according to etymology (science of the origins of words and their meaning), the prophecy logically implies that both Ribi Yehoshua ha-Mashiakh and his followers will keep the directives of Torah and teach others that they must do likewise. The Mashiakh is a human, not an “incarnate man-god”, according to Yeshayahu 9:5-6 in Hebrew.
So, according to the Mashiakh, that is the Will of the Creator to all of humankind.
The question now remains: What is Torah-observance and what is not?
You wrote: “We will still be attending sunday fellowship because our church family is a group of very strong believers!”
Neither Ribi Yehoshua nor his followers attended church; one of the reasons – they pray to “Jesus”, which is not in accordance with the Torah.
Maybe you knew this; but learn more about how to follow Ribi Yehoshua on http://www.followyeshua.com”>www.followYeshua.com
Following Ribi Yehoshua leads oneself into Torah-observance and an immensely meaningful relationship with the Creator.
Shalom!
